Arrrrgghh Pirates!
A last minute request for a pirate cake for a friends 6th birthday. I had fun making this cake and getting to sculpt with cake to make the hat. The little boy loved it and it fit in perfect with the rest of his theme!

Fresh Beat Drums
My youngest daughter turned 2 last week and she is obsessed with the Fresh Beat Band. She LOVES to play the drums along with Marina, so we decided that a Marina Drum Cake would be perfect to celebrate her birthday. This time around I tried to get fancy on the inside and dyed the cake turquoise and purple, which are Marina's colors.

Cars for 6
A friend asked if I wouldn't mind making a cake for her son's birthday. He is all about the movie Cars, so this was the perfect theme. Chocolate cake with vanilla butter cream was the cake of choice for this little guy.

Sunflower Doll Cake
This past weekend was my youngest daughter's first birthday. We went with a sunflower theme. She wore the cutest sunflower tutu and to match her we did a sunflower doll cake (tradition in my family for your first birthday) and matching sunflower cupcakes (picture to come when I find someone who took one of them on the cupcake tree).

Red Rose Wedding
This weekend I had a chance to do my first wedding cake. And also my first "on the road" cake. My family and I drove down to PA for my father-in-law's wedding and I had the honor of making the cake. The colors were red and white and the bride was carrying red roses. The bottom tier was white cake with chocolate gnache, the middle was devil's food cake with vanilla cream, and the top was lemon. The roses are sugar flowers.

Jessie for 4!
For my daughter's 4th birthday she wanted a Jessie cake. We did chocolate and yellow cakes with vanilla butter cream. The bottom layer is an interpretation of Jessie's cowgirl chaps and the top is her shirt. A number 4 belt buckles completes her.
